What is your working process for a design project or private commission?

I usually work from photographs or reference images. Often my clients have a clear idea of what they want, they just need help visualising it. Some clients provide a squiggle on a piece of paper, others have a full PowerPoint presentation. I work using pencil, pen and watercolour but also draw digitally using my graphics tablet.

What do you charge?

I have a flat rate of £25 per hour and the average illustration takes between three and four hours.

How do I commission a piece of art?

It’s easier than you think. Some clients communicate solely through WhatsApp others email, phone calls and face to face. Whatever works for you is fine.

Can I sign up for a course?
